My workplace

By That's life, Work

Think outside the boxThink outside the cubicle…

Obviously that’s what my workplace was thinking when they recently reconfigured our office floor space… not that I’m complaining. I mean, in this case I’ve moved from office to jungle…

My open plan office

And before I forget, a big shout out to Seeker, long time blogging friend. It was a post she made a few weeks back that planted the cubicle seed.

So, back to the cubicle…What makes your cubicle special?

My cubicle is below…special, huh?

What better way to fight temptation, than with the humble tea towel

This is the next drawing in my Art of Series where I reinterpret famous pieces of art through a cartoon filter and splash them into everyday life by incorporating popular products into the drawing. Then I place the image onto the product for a bit of fun and inspiration. Drying the dishes has got to be more enjoyable with a cartoon on it, doesn’t it?

This particular cartoon is a snippet from Dali’s Temptation of St Anthony. Check out my Art of Dali webpage to not only find our more about this piece of art, but also see what other everyday products I managed to sneak into the painting.

50 Shades of gay

Ok, I cheated. Pink is not technically part of the gay rainbow banner, but maybe it can be considered as a shade of purple?

The selfie

Cell phone selfie

It’s a bit like the selfie stick for mobile phones

So, tell me… do you own a selfie stick? I do… I’ve never used it. It was one of those delightful gifts they sell at Mother’s day stalls in primary school. My daughter thought it was exactly what I needed. Back in my primary school days, I too was convinced of the delightful gifts on offer for mothers. It makes me wonder if my Mum loved all those tea towels I used to buy her. On reflection, she probably loved them as much as my Dad loved his handkerchief Father’s Day gifts.

So, what delightful presents have you given or received?
