Cell phone selfie

It’s a bit like the selfie stick for mobile phones

So, tell me… do you own a selfie stick? I do… I’ve never used it. It was one of those delightful gifts they sell at Mother’s day stalls in primary school. My daughter thought it was exactly what I needed. Back in my primary school days, I too was convinced of the delightful gifts on offer for mothers. It makes me wonder if my Mum loved all those tea towels I used to buy her. On reflection, she probably loved them as much as my Dad loved his handkerchief Father’s Day gifts.

So, what delightful presents have you given or received?

So sweet that your daughter remember to buy you a gift even you don’t need it. And mothers are gracious enough to keep them. Flowers is what I give to Mothers. Whether they like it or not it’s okay to throw it out. Not for keeps.

Mmm, flowers. Hadn’t thought about it from that perspective. They are a transient beauty, here one minute, so make the most of them, then gone the next. It’s the start of daffodil season here, very excited as it is a sign of good bye winter, helloooo summer

I don’t think cameras or phones should take selfies… IF they take selfies of themselves, what do they need us for?? I honestly thought the “Selfie stick” was a joke for a LONG time just making fun of people taking pictures of themselves… so I was surprised back when I found out it was a real thing, that people paid money to own… I wish I’d thought of that idea! Not because I like it, but because I like money!

That’s the same for me! I didn’t think it was real and then when I saw one, I thought it was just a joke…oh, and yes, I too thought I wish I’d thought of that one. I must admit I find them funny in that phone companies have done so much to make phones small and then someone came along with the big clunky selfie stick, taking away that immediate portability aspect to it all.
