How chickens make chocolate easter eggs

It’s obvious, I guess. What goes in, must come out.

Have a wonderful Easter, and overindulge knowing that these chocolate facts will be in your side

  • Chocolate may reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack and diabetes
  • Chocolate makes you smart – UK scientists completed a study that indicated that flavanols (a particular one found in chocolate) helped wit mental maths capabilities. “The findings suggest students who binge on chocolate when revising for exams may gain a real benefit from doing so,” the British Telegraph reported.
  • Eating chocolate can add to your life span. Research suggests it can add up to 2 years – that’s two extra years of chocolate eating

So, now, you know how good chocolate is, how many extra eggs are you going to eat this Easter? Let me know.

I was an odd kid… I was not the primary reason candy was in the house. I would eat it… still do… got some today even! But, I mostly wanted regular food. At the buffet, all the other kids wanted to hit the candy and ice cream bar… I always went back for seconds of the main course… usually too full to ever get dessert.

In fact… I twice recently wanted to get a Frosty at Wendy’s… but each time was full with my main meal and skipped dessert.

On the “how to make chocolate” bit, I guess great minds think alike… I have been mulling a variation on that theme for my Sunday blog post. I still might… but now it will look less original! 🙂

I’m a savoury fan too. Personally, I think chocolate is overrated. When I do eat it, it tends to be the dark stuff. I look forward to your Easter cartoon (I don’t think mine was unique, that’s why I didn’t google it before posting, then it would have felt like I was copying)

Yeah, that’s how I do it… if I think I’m doing something less than unique, I try not to look too much at others’ stuff so I’m not unduly influenced. All I’ll say for now is mine will be a little less savoury… 😉

Music to my ears. I do love chocolate, especially the dark stuff which is the one that’s so good for us. Yum!

That’s an interest 3 points and I definitely will die of heart attack/stroke (in the family), no wonder I’m not a genius and I will lose two years of my life. Why? I’m not a chocoholic. I went around at work looking for Easter Eggs and found a basket. Took at least six of those and gave them away to my office mates. I think this is mostly north american food. Happy Easter Marti and have fun Egg hunting with your children. Perpetua.

Heya Seeker, I’m not a big chocolate fan either. I prefer savoury food. My weakness is salt, just love it. The kids had fun hunting for eggs, the Easter bunny made it particularly hard this year, so it entertained for some time. 🙂

Earth is the only planet in the Solar System with CHOCOLATE !
That’s the only reason we are visited by ALIENS, they want our CHOCOLATE !

    • Marti says:

I hadn’t looked at it from a universal perspective. I think you’re on to something there Grumpy. 🙂 Happy Easter

When I do like chocolate… I still don’t like white chocolate. It’s kind of horrible to me actually. My mother liked it, so I kept trying it.. but every time it was just wrong.

I mention it… because I sometimes like the variety packs for Kit-Kat or Reese’s Cups that include milk, dark, and white variants… but I hate wasting the white chocolate ones that I know I’ll never eat… so I can only get those when I can find someone to give the white chocolate to.
