Introducing Vitruvian Man

Let me guess, you’ve always wondered the name of this man?

For my sixth Art of series, I couldn’t help but play with this iconic drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. He looks great dressed with a tea towel…

…and even better with an apron, armed with beater and wooden spoon…

But let’s start with the story behind Vitruvian Man

Is the front towel hanging or is he holding it to hide his private…😍😂😊

Good question… I guess I’d need to look under the tea towel drawing layer to see what’s drawn underneath 🙂

You know, I tried to remain true to the original with a fully naked body, but when I sampled the design with a few friends of mine (who all stated how much they loved art and how very liberal they were when it came to the naked body)…they jumped back in shock. They couldn’t hide their initial response at all… I guess the thought of drying dishes with a male appendage was too much. Didn’t go any further with testing the design with any men; just introduced a 5th arm and towel.

      • I think a video of your market research would be interesting in its own way. You definitely picked the approach that would keep most people happy.

Hey, thanks GD. Good to hear from you again. I trust you had a great festive season and new year.

I have been toying with the idea of videos, but not keen on looking back at myself. It makes me cringe. Maybe with your idea it about filming everyone else, not me 🙂
