Creative accounting using mirrors

It’s been a while since my last Frank cartoon so thought I’d introduce a mirror just to see what would happen.

As usual, his boss came to the rescue with an innovative take on it.

Mirrors are inspiration to many, so I did a quick Google hunt for some fun mirror quotes:

  • Who sees the human face correctly: the photographer, the mirror, or the painter?  Pablo Picasso
  • I busted a mirror and got seven years bad luck, but my lawyer thinks he can get me five.  Steven Wright
  • The best car safety device is a rear-view mirror with a cop in it.  Dudley Moore
  • Natural beauty takes at least two hours in front of a mirror.  Pamela Anderson

Aha… but what the boss has not foreseen? He didn’t count the cost of the mirrors… plus what about mirror maintenance? Making sure they aren’t broken and that they stay clean enough to triple the workload? 🙂

Ah, a smart man Stuart. I thought of the expense associated with the mirrors too, but hoped people would skip over that finer point.

In my brain, it is even funnier thinking about it that way… because I’ve worked at companies that kind of did this… in trying to save money by not hiring people, they ended up spending more money to appear like they were doing a better job!

I know what you mean. When in the thick of it, it’s hard to see the forest for the trees

  • Very funny! I like the quotes, too.

Thanks GD. I’m looking forward to the next Frank cartoon this week – I was indulging in the mirror moment, so the fun continues soon
