Office musical chair dance

Funny, how the past comes back in later life.

For me as a child, musical chairs was one of my all time favourite party games. That, as well as pin the tail on the poor donkey and eating cake (that’s food, does that count?)

So what was your favourite party game and why?

Ha ha ha ha! I stop counting how many times I moved around in the past 17 years where I work. Yup, very true. Did you change jobs?

No, I haven’t. It’s a reflection on many years of work and somehow always managing to avoid the axe when the redundancies come round. 🙂
      Should never speak too soon…

  • In the last 19 years at the same place, I’ve had 4 different “permanent” locations and two temporary ones. This also reminds of something I read years ago about some companies that didn’t give their employees assigned desks or cubicles. The idea was that you showed up to work and just set up at any of the work stations. I can’t say that I liked that idea.

Yep, I believe Ernst and Young apply that concept. In the end, people tend to find their own solution – there becomes an unspoken hierarchy and understanding of where one can and can’t sit
