Use liberally…
I remember when hair gel hit the market
I grabbed a tub and lathered liberally in an attempt to bring some control back to my 80’s perm (What was I thinking?)
But these days, one can be overwhelmed by the choice. Take your pick: traditional hair spray, mousse, putty, glue, glypto, whip, styling paste and pomade. Brylcreem, (that stuff Grand Dads put in their hair) is a type of pomade. It was invented in 1928 and made it’s mark in the market place with its successful 1950s TV advertising campaign, with the following jingle:
- Brylcreem — A Little Dab’ll Do Ya! Brylcreem — You’ll look so debonaire.
- Brylcreem — The gals’ll all pursue ya; they’ll love to run their fingers through your hair!.”
I have used conditioner before… while showering.. but never any kind of hair gel or hair product. I like chocolate moose (mousse), though!
Shucks, glad to hear you like the moose… perhaps you could give this product a whirl instead?
Oh yes, I remember the days of mousse well!! These days I use a bit of styling paste when I remember 🙂
I think my hairdresser finds me to be the worst client. I visit him 2-3 times a year at best. I don’t buy any of those fancy hair products – I just don’t have time or interest. The only thing I have going for me is that I’ve been loyal for over 25 years now and in the hair industry, that counts for something.
